Donald Moodie RSA
Donald Moodie 1892 – 1963
Donald Moddie was a contemporary of William Gillies, John Maxwell, and Adam Bruce Thomson. He was on the staff of the Edinburgh College of Art where he had trained. Elected to the RSA in 1952, he was its Secretary for four years up to 1963. Earlier he had been President of the Scottish Society of Artists before and during the war years. His painting was expressive and colourful. His daughters were accomplished artist too.
