George Smith RSA

1870 – 1934

George Smith came from Mid-Calder and studied at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh and then in the RSA Schools and in Antwerp. He was particularly adept at painting animals often in a farmyard or domesticated scene. He was elected a full RSA Academician in 1921.
