Francesca Wilkinson Shaw
Francesca lives and works in south Edinburgh. She trained at Chelsea School of Art, taught art for many years at St Margaret’s School and is a qualified art therapist teaching disadvantaged children in Nairobi. She creates vital and visually outstanding abstract paintings. Her work plays with different planes and depths, exploring the flicker between two states. Often kaleidoscope-like, the paintings explore ambivalence and complexity, randomness and control. The result is a set of arresting paintings you will want to look at again and again.
